Ronny Roman Rozenberg (b.1981) is an independent photographer from the Netherlands. He served as a combat medic in the military and later had a short career in the Merchandise Navy prior to turning to photography. He was the participant of Noorderlicht Master Class 2011 and recently was selected for Eddie Adams Workshop XXV. His series “Infiltrators” won the 1st prize in the News category of Local Testimony Award 2012.

NEW: ROMAN – Storytelling Wedding Photography

For the past two years I’ve went through a lot of changes both personally and professionally.

My photography was always very much rooted in photojournalism and inspired by traditional black and white photography. But since I was selected back in 2011 as a participant of Noorderlicht Master Class it went up to a total different level.

Shortly after, my photographic series entitled “Infiltrators” won the 2012 first prize in the News category of Local Testimony Press Award and was exhibited in the Eretz-Israel Museum in Tel Aviv.

Most recently I was selected for Eddie Adams Workshop XXV which is an amazing honour and opportunity for every emerging photojournalist. It’s not everyday that one gets to share a drink and have a chat about photography with Pulitzer winners and other most inspiring photographers and editors from around the world.

Ok…that’s nice, but how is it related to wedding photography?

It’s simple. I’ve stopped doing what “everyone else is doing” in the wedding photography industry. As it is too often that I see photography “of something”. Instead I want my photography to be “about something”. So that is when I’ve decided to bring the real and pure documentary photogrpahy into the world of wedding photography. Because photographs that will touch us the most will always be about the way people feel, and not about how they look. With this thought in mind ROMAN Storytelling Wedding Photography was born.

Eden turns 1 (month)

Our beautiful Eden is 1 month old today. Holding her and watching her grow, change, smile, cry was a pure joy so far. This slideshow is a tribute to my wife who is taking care day and night of our Eden. With deep love to you both.
